Secured by Design our Hampton Court sponsor are happy to see that the plants they funded are now improving community spaces in London. The plants were relocated in a joint effort with my husband's company, Laing O'Rourke, who provided the transport and the manpower. The three community projects were delighted with the results:
The ROSE Community Clubroom in Battersea took a number of the plants, where their gardening club is planting them at the community hub and around the estate, close to Battersea power station.
The World End Lots Road Big Local in Chelsea has planted the front of their site to improve the space, which is a community partnership working with young people to improve job prospects and training.
Falconbrook Primary School in Battersea received two trees and a number of plants to improve the entrance and playground area of the school.
