Love seeing a design come to life - from paper to reality! The brief was to design a contemporary garden that was secure and sustainable for the RHS Hampton Court Show. I included various security features such as prickly plants around the boundaries, gravel to alert the owners to possible intruders, and dusk till dawn lighting. However I wanted the garden to also be soft and inviting, and a relaxing place for the owners to enjoy being; an oasis away from the world outside. So I included tall columnar trees, a reflection pool and soft planting of perennials and grasses. It was amazing to see that design translated into an award winning show garden at Hampton Court #RHSHampton. Below is my original design and the final result.
