The July issue of the SGD Garden Design Journal focuses on student members and the design for the Hampton Court Garden. Low voltage lighting, gravel, and security planting of Berberis, Pyracantha and Osmanthus are good ways to deter intruders. At the same time the garden can be beautiful and sustainable. Recycled wood from St Albans Wood Recycling is used to clad the shed and create the pergola and planter, and the shed has a green roof, also planted with prickly plants.
